YOUNG PROFESSIONAL PHILANTHROPY AWARD – Thank you to Heart House Hospice for this humbling award. I have never thought in my life that I will be photographing people who are in their end of life. Doing my volunteer work for the hospice has brought me to an ultimate place of humility, knowing that I will be in their shoes one day. Their stories has awaken what was sleeping in me which is passion to find my purpose in the world while I’m still breathing. I don’t want to wait until the very end only to find out there’s not enough time. I aspire to live each day as if it is my last. I aim to continuously seek how I can make the most of my potential, how I can bring gratitude by using the gifts given to me by my Creator. This experience has also taught me to see death not as the end but a beginning for those left behind. I feel very privileged to have seen their eyes, especially of Kathy, the courageous woman in this video.
